Evan Almighty and Acts of Random Kindness (ARK’s)

Okay, two posts in one day??? Enjoy it while it lasts!

I’m not giving a movie review, but let’s just talk a bit about the whole idea in the movie. Firstly I just wanna say that I did NOT want to see this film, being heavily disgusted by Jim Carrey (whom I share a birthday with) and BRUCE Almighty. Blasphemous crap, that one.

So when my friends told me that this is way different and better, I thought okay I’ll give it a try – and I was happily surprised.

It is the type of thing (maybe) I’d like to make someday. And the whole scope of the movie is not that far fetched: if the Biblical account of Noah was to happen today, how would people react? Mmmm… But they handled it nicely. Kudos to the producers!
It had the message that it’s about obedience even if things do not make sense and it sound ridiculous to the people around you. It is about holding God to His word.
It is about “changing the world with one Act of Random Kindness at a time”.
It’s NOT about doing the dance! 😉
Kidding.
It IS about dancing and enjoying life with God.
